Who We Represent

Retail & Trade Workers

Supermarket employees, shop attendants, cashiers, stock clerks, and store managers are the backbone of Somalia’s retail industry.

  1. Many work long hours for low pay, with little to no benefits.
  2. Some are fired without notice or forced to work overtime without extra pay.
  3. We fight for fair wages, better working conditions, and job security.
Food & Beverage Workers
  1. From bakeries to restaurants, street vendors to food processing factories, these workers ensure Somalia has fresh, quality food every day.
Many face health risks, unfair wages, and unsafe working conditions.
  2. Women in this sector often face discrimination, harassment, and wage inequality.
  3. We work to secure better wages, safe workplaces, and fair treatment for all.
Logistics & Warehouse Workers

These are the drivers, delivery workers, warehouse staff, and distribution center employees who keep Somalia’s supply chains running.

  1. They work long shifts, often in unsafe environments with little protection.
  2. Many are paid below minimum wage and lack job security.
  3. We push for safer workplaces, fair wages, and better working conditions.
Factory & Manufacturing Workers

From textile factories to food production plants, factory workers are often overworked, underpaid, and unprotected.

1.Many work in unsafe conditions, with little to no health protections.

2.Wages are often low, and some employers refuse to pay on time.

3.We demand safe working conditions, better wages, and stronger protections for factory workers.

Hospitality & Service Workers

Somalia’s hotels, cafes, and restaurants rely on cleaners, cooks, waiters, receptionists, and service staff.

  1. Many face exploitation, wage theft, and job insecurity.
  2. Some work for months without proper contracts, making them vulnerable.
  3. We fight for legal protections, fair contracts, and dignity in the workplace.
