A delegation of members from the Union of Commercial and Food Workers (UCFW) participated in an important meeting at the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation headquarters in the Federal Republic of Somalia. During the meeting, the participants expressed their appreciation to the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, H.E. Mohamed Abdi Hayir Maareeye, for his ongoing efforts to support Somali farmers and address the challenges they face in the agricultural sector. The minister reaffirmed his commitment to providing essential services and assistance to Somali farmers.
UCFW members commended the minister for his leadership in addressing key issues such as improving transportation for agricultural produce from farms to markets, providing training opportunities, removing obstacles to irrigation, and developing agricultural infrastructure. These efforts are vital for increasing productivity and improving the livelihoods of farmers across Somalia.
